USDA establishment directory

The USDA FSIS Meat, Poultry and Egg Product Inspection (MPI) establishment directory is the public list of FSIS-inspected plants. It is the authoritative source for plant IDs and many directory fields. Plant Delta Feed does not invent listings — we read the official public API, store immutable weekly snapshots, and compute diffs.

Why a weekly directory diff?

Looking up a single plant on the public site is easy. Catching every addition, removal, and material field update across thousands of establishments is not. A scheduled snapshot + diff turns “did anything change?” into a short, evidence-backed list.
